Biography
Born March 21, 1957 in Mirandola, Italy.
From six years he studied at the music school. In the early 1970s, he studied at the Bologna Conservatory in composition, conducting, choral and orchestral disciplines. During these years he studied playing the piano.
Together with the entrepreneur Jacques Fred Petrus in 1978 organized the production company Goody Music Productions (GMP) . [1] During the 1980s, they created several successful projects.
In 1983, in New York, he met the Italian composer Lucho Dalla , who suggested that Mauro work with him. Their long-term cooperation has begun.
Winner of the " David di Donatello " award for the best song (1989). In 2008 he was awarded the Pico della Mirandola .
