Doryodes latistriga (lat.) Is a species of scoop butterfly Doryodes from the tapeworm subfamily ( Catocalinae ). Endemic to North America [1] .

Distribution
North America (Atlantic coast): USA , Alabama , Louisiana , Mississippi . In areas of tidal streams and salt marshes [1] .
Description
Butterflies of small sizes with front wings pointed to the apex. It is similar to the closely related species Doryodes broui , but larger than it, and also differs in the structure of the genitals. The span of the front wings of males is 14.5-18 mm, females 17.5-20.0 mm. Fore wings tan; have longitudinal stripes. The antennae of males are comb-like. The abdomen is elongated, eyes are round, ocelli are absent. The species was first described in 2015 by American entomologists Donald Lafontaine ( J. Donald Lafontaine , Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Ottawa , Canada ) and Bolling Sullivan ( J. Bolling Sullivan ; Beaufort, USA ) [1] .
