Geography
The village is located in the forest-steppe within the Baraba Lowland, related to the West Siberian Plain. There are no rivers and lakes near the village [2] . Common meadow-chernozem solonetzic and solonchak soils and solonetzes [3] . The height of the center of the village is 113 meters above sea level [4] .
By road, the village is located 34 km from the district center of the village of Kormilovka and 80 km from the regional center of Omsk . The nearest railway station is located in the village of Kormilovka.
The climate is temperate continental (according to the classification of Köppen-Geiger climates - type Dfb). The average annual temperature is + 1 ° C, the average temperature of the coldest month of January is 18.1 ° C, the hottest month of July is + 19.5 ° C. The long-term rainfall is 379 mm, the highest rainfall in July is 62 mm the smallest in March is 13 mm [4]
History
It was founded in 1908 by immigrants from Little Russia and Belarus . Settlers built dugouts from improvised materials. The peasants were engaged in agriculture and cattle breeding. Almost every yard had its own well. But there were few wells with water suitable for cooking [5] . In 1931, the collective farm “Path of the Poor” was organized. In 1943, the collective farm became known as the "Dawn" collective farm. The collective farm land area was 4422 ha. In 1951, as a result of the unification of the collective farms “Dawn”, “Red Peasant” and “Progress”, an enlarged collective farm named after Karl Marx was formed. Subsequently, reorganized into the Mikhailovsky State Farm. In 1981, the Mikhailovsky state farm received the status of a pedigree farm. In 1994 - the status of the breeding farm [5] .
