Economics
In 2010, out of 10 537 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years), 6188 were economically active , 4349 were inactive (activity indicator 58.7%, in 1999 - 61.5%). Out of 6188 active able-bodied residents, 4944 people worked (2891 men and 2053 women), 1244 were unemployed (574 men and 670 women). Among 4349 able-bodied inactive citizens, 1024 were pupils or students , 1043 were pensioners , and 2282 were inactive for other reasons [7] [8] .
