General Information

The first seeding number in the men's singles tournament was Fabio Fognini (No. 19 in the world at that time). The Italian started from the second round, where he lost to last year's winner Juan Martin del Potro . The Argentinean, who spoke at the tournament, received a special invitation , in the next match at the stage of the quarter-finals he lost to Mikhail Kukushkin (No. 66 in the world at that time), who made his way to the tournament through qualification. Kazakh eventually managed to reach the final, where he played the title with Viktor Troitsky (No. 92 in the world), who also got into the main draw through qualification. As a result, the victory was won by the Serbian tennis player, who won the association tournament for the second time in his career and for the first time since 2010.

In the men's doubles, last year's champions of the tournament Nenad Zimonich and Daniel Nestor did not defend their title, but both took part in the tournament. The Serb paired with Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi , seeded at number four, reached the quarter-finals, and Nestor together with Rohan Bopannaya made the third strongest duet in the tournament and eventually managed to win, having beaten the first and second seeding number in the last stages. For Nestor, this success was already the fifth in the tournament. He won local competitions in 1999 together with Sebastien Laro , in 2001 with Sandon Stoll and in 2010 as well as last year with Nenad Zimonic. One representative of Russia Teymuraz Gabashvili played at the tournament, who, together with Sergei Stakhovsky, reached the quarter finals, where he lost the first seeding numbers to Julien Benneto Eduard Roger-Wasslen .

The women's single tournament was supposed to bring together six representatives of the Top 10 world ranking, however, the first seeding number of Simon Halep (No. 3 in the world) withdrew from the tournament due to stomach problems [1] . In her absence, the most rated tennis player was Petra Kvitova (No. 4 in the world). As a result, the Czech managed to win the title. In the semifinals, she outplayed last year's champion Tsvetana Pironkova, who got into the tournament through qualification, and in the final, compatriot Karolina Plishkova . Four Russian representatives took part in the main tournament, but only two: Ekaterina Makarova (6th seeding number) and Daria Gavrilova (received a special invitation to the tournament) managed to reach the second round.

The women's doubles went to Bethany Mattek-Sands and Sanaa Mirze , the US-India alliance won the title, defeating the first seeded Raquel Cops-Jones and Abigail Spears in the decisive match. Last year’s winners of the tournament, Tima Babosh and Lucius Shafarzhova did not defend the title, but both took part in the tournament: Babosh, together with Kristina Mladenovic, reached the semifinals, where she lost the first pair at the tournament, Cops-Jones and Spears, and Shafarzhova in an alliance with Belinda Bencic , who received a special invitation to the main draw, already lost in the first round of Kimiko Date-Krumm and Carolina Plishkova.
