This species is an invasive plant in many parts of the world. Originally from South Africa, probably at the beginning of the 19th century, the species is presented in the botanical garden in Malta. For several decades, spread to Malta, and to other parts of the Mediterranean region and even to the Atlantic coast of Europe. Similarly, the species is naturalized in the Canary Islands, the Azores and Madeira. Now the plant is a harmful weed in many parts of the world, including the United States (in particular, coastal California), Europe, Israel and Australia [2] . He chooses cultivated land as the best location, especially among tree crops. During the flowering period is a determining part of the landscape, for example, in Sicily.
Perennial herbaceous plant with a height of 10 to 50 centimeters. The flowering period lasts from December to May. The plant can be used as a source of oxalic acid, as food and in traditional medicine. Lateral underground shoots, which are usually fleshy, can be eaten raw or boiled with milk [3] .
