Biography

Very little is known about the past of Abu Umar al-Baghdadi. Apparently, he was a brigadier general of the Iraqi police during the reign of Saddam Hussein . [4] [5] [6]

In 2003, after the invasion of coalition forces in Iraq, he joined the Iraqi rebels . [four]
