Ram was born May 15, 1988 ^[1] in the family of Muralimohan Potineni and his wife Padmashri. He also has a Madhusmith sister. His uncle Saravanti Ravikishor is a film producer. Since childhood, the boy wanted to become an actor, and in order to prepare for the shoot, he attended various courses, studying acting, dancing, horseback riding, juggling, etc. ^[2] At age 12, he played in the short Tamil film ID ^[2] .

A full-fledged debut of the actor in the movie took place with Ileana de Cruz in the film " Devdas " (2006).
