Story

Out of pity for the lame-footed Kinawi, who came from the village to work and spent the night on the street, the owner of the store at the station hires him as a seller of press for passing passengers and even gives the poor man a closet. Impressed by the increase in his status, as well as photos of women in magazines, Kinawi is striving for a romantic relationship, however, all women only dismiss him.

Kinavi falls in love with the beauty seller of refreshments, Hanuma, who seems to be flirting with him, not paying attention that she is engaged to Abu Siri, an informal leader of station porters trying to organize them into a union to improve wages. Kinavi makes her an offer, but the girl breaks his dreams of family and children.

Kinawi's obsessed love turns into hatred. Inspired by a newspaper article on unsolved murders, he buys a knife. A suitable case is presented to him when the police start a raid on merchants without a license, and Hanuma asks the former admirer to hide her basket with drinks in the station warehouse. Kinavi is waiting for her there, but Hanuma does not come to get the basket herself, but asks her friend about it. Not noticing the difference in the darkness of the warehouse, Kinawi stabbed a woman several times, drags the body into a large box and even manages to trick Abu Siri into loading him onto the train.

However, the woman is alive. They find her and panic rises at the station. Opponents of Abu Siri who find it unprofitable to organize a union try to blame the porter for the murder, but he reveals the real culprit. Kinavi want to arrest, but he notices Khanuma (who did not know about the incident), catches up with her, grabs and puts a knife to her throat to keep the crowd.

The owner of Madbuli’s store, who had previously benefited him, speaks with Kinavi in order to calm him down and convinces the nearby simpleton that they will get married with Hanuma now, just wear a wedding suit. Overjoyed, Kinawi dresses up in the proposed clothes, only then realizing that he put on a straitjacket . He resists, but he is taken away.
