Description

Ants are small in size (2.8 - 2.9 mm), yellow. The width of the head is from 0.66 to 0.68 mm (the length of the head is from 0.64 to 0.66 mm), the length of the antenna scape is from 0.60 to 0.62 mm. Antennae 11-segmented, mace 3-segmented. The branches are triangular, with 4-5 teeth. Mandibular palpi 4-segmented, lower labial palpi consists of 3 segments. Antennah grooves and frontal ridges absent. The breast is thin and long. Posterior chest with two long propodeal spines, curved upwards and forwards. The stalk between the breast and the abdomen consists of two segments: the petiolus and the postpetiolus (the latter is clearly separated from the abdomen), the sting is developed, the pupae are bare (without cocoon). The taxon was described in 1992 by the English myrmecologist Barry Bolton ( The Natural History Museum , London , UK ) [1] [3] [2] .
