InChI (International Chemical Identifier) is an international textual chemical identifier . It is a standardized structural code for the designation of molecules, designed to provide a standard and readable way of encoding molecular information and to facilitate the search for such information in databases and on the Internet. Developed by IUPAC and NIST during 2000-2005. Further development of the standard is supported since 2010 by the non-profit organization InChI Trust, which is a member of IUPAC. The current version 1.04 was released in September 2011.
