Bart, Wenceslas

Vaclav “Noid” Barta ( Czech. Václav Noid Bárta , born October 27, 1980 ) is a Czech singer, composer and actor. He represented the Czech Republic at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in a duet with Marta Yandova with the song “ Hope Never Dies ” [1] .

Biography

The early years

He was born in a musical family - his father, Vaclav, is the author of texts, and his mother, Lenka, is a singer. From childhood he was interested in music. At the age of 4, he began to learn to play the piano , clarinet and flute , and later learned to play the guitar , drums and bass .

Musical career

Vaclav began his musical career at the age of 15. At 17, he became one of the members in the nu-metal band Dolores Clan. In 2012, he recorded vocals for the songs of the studio album "Rána" by Noid.

Personal life

Vaclav met with Czech singer Lucia Bila in 2006-2008. On July 7, 2014, he married model Gabriela Dvozhakova, who gave birth to his daughter Teresa on October 22, 2014.

At the Eurovision Song Contest 2015

On November 19, 2014, it was announced that the Czech Republic was returning to the Eurovision song contest . The last participation of the country was in 2009 , when the country took the last place in the semifinals with 0 points.

On January 31, 2015, ČT1 announced that the duet Marta Jandova and Wenceslas with the song “ Hope Never Dies ” [2] will represent the Czech Republic at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna .

On May 21, 2015, the duo performed in the second semi-final under number 8. The Czech Republic received 33 points, took 13th place and could not reach the final. In the final, the Czech Republic gave its highest scores (8, 10 and 12) to Russia , Sweden and Azerbaijan, respectively.
