DescriptionThe total length of representatives of this genus ranges from 10 to 18 cm. The head is short, the muzzle is pointed, almost triangular. Males have a pair of throat resonators. The body is massive and thick. On the skin there are folds of various sizes. The limbs are strong, especially the hind, with outstretched fingers that have membranes. The color is brown, olive, drilling color with different shades. On the main background are numerous spots.
LifestyleThey love tropical and subtropical places, savannas, the coast of various reservoirs. Active at night. They feed on various invertebrates, rodents, small reptiles, young frogs.
These are egg-laying amphibians.
SpreadThey live south of the Sahara desert, from Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka to southern China.
