He graduated from the Janacek Academy of Music in Brno , a student of Bedřich Gavlik . He made his debut on the professional stage in 1986 as part of the Paul Quarting String Quartet, awarded in the late 1980s. a number of differences (in particular, a special prize at the International String Quartet Competition in Evian , 1989 ).
Since 1990, he has been playing in the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra , since 1997, assistant accompanist for cello. Currently, two of his sons are playing with him in the orchestra [2] . Together with his eldest son, Joseph holds talks about music with young listeners [3] .
Along with his orchestra career, he continues to perform as an ensemble - first of all, as part of the Czech Philharmonic Sextet, affiliated with the orchestra; as part of this collective, in particular, he recorded The Enlightened Night by Arnold Schoenberg (1999). At the same time, since 2004, a member of the Norbert string quartet, has also performed baroque music as part of the Pro Arte Antiqua chamber ensemble.
