Biography

Born in Moscow in the family of the artist Nikolai Estis . He graduated from art school and the Moscow State Art College in memory of 1905

Since 1985 - member of the Union of Artists of Russia , participant and laureate of many Moscow, All-Union and international exhibitions and competitions.

Oleg Estis first published his cartoons at the age of 13, since that time his work has been represented by thousands of drawings in many Russian and foreign publications.

Since 1977, he collaborated with the book publishers " Children's Literature ", " Kid ", "SATUKUSTANNUS" (Finland), "KARTO" (Finland) and others.

He regularly published in such magazines as Murzilka , Funny Pictures , Crocodile , Theater , Health and others.

Over thirty personal exhibitions of the artist took place in Russia, Germany and other countries. Member and laureate of many all-Union and international exhibitions and competitions.

The works of O. Estis are in private collections and museums in many countries, in the permanent exhibition of the International Museum of Humor in Gabrovo in Bulgaria and in the Museum of Modern Art of the M. Chagall Institute of Jewish Culture in Brazil.

For the past year and a half, Oleg Estis has lived and worked in Pinneberg near Hamburg . [1] [2]

Father - artist Nikolay Alexandrovich Estis (b. 1937, Moscow). Brother - writer Alexander Nikolaevich Estis (b. 1986, Moscow).

  • 1989 - Third Prize at the cartoon exhibition "Literary Hero" in Moscow.
  • 1991 - "Grand Prix" of the International Cartoon Competition in Belgium.
  • 1991 - first prize at the international competition "Music".
  • 1993 - first prize of the International Festival of Designs for the Press in Brazil.
  • 1999 - First Prize of the International Cartoon Festival in Belgium. [2] [1]
