Born in 1975 on the island of Crete . In 1992 he graduated from the school of judges of Heraklion [3] . He began refereeing matches of the Greek Super League in 2004. In 2008, received the status of a FIFA referee.
He won the first international match on May 22, 2008 as part of the qualifying tournament for the 2008 European Youth Championship between the youth teams of Germany and Albania (2: 0). He made his debut at the international club level by refereeing the game on June 21, 2008, as part of the Intertoto Cup qualification between the Celik and Grbal clubs (3: 2) [4] .
In 2009 he was allowed to referee the qualifying match for the 2010 World Cup between the teams of the Faroe Islands and France (0: 1) [5] .
Since 2011, the match on the auspices of FIFA and UEFA is regularly involved in refereeing, both at the club level and at the level of national teams [5] .
