Biography

Born in the family of a landowner, the provincial secretary Alexander Andreyevich and Maria Aristarkhovna Derevitsky.

Service

In 1877 he graduated from the Second Military Konstantinovsky School [2] . Released by an ensign in the artillery brigade of the 32nd Infantry Division . He participated in the Russian-Turkish war .

In 1886 he graduated from the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff (in the second category) [2] . He served as a staff captain in the 37th Artillery Brigade ( 37th Infantry Division ). He was seconded to the Mikhailovsky Artillery School .

He graduated from the officer artillery school .

In 1899-1904 he commanded the 4th Battery of the 23rd Artillery Brigade ( 23rd Infantry Division ).

In the years 1904-1910 with the rank of colonel , assigned "for distinction", he commanded successively the divisions of the 36th, 59th and 68th artillery brigades and the 4th reserve artillery brigade [3] .

In the years 1910-1915 - Major General ("for the difference"), the commander of the 33rd Artillery Brigade ( 33rd Infantry Division ) [4] , stationed in Kiev .

Took part in the First World War . From March 1915 - in the position of artillery inspector of the 31st Army Corps [5] .

Participated in the Civil War on the side of the white movement (in the Armed Forces of the South of Russia ).

Emigration

Peter Alexandrovich Derevitsky was evacuated in late 1919 - early 1920. From 1920 he lived in Yugoslavia , was a member of the Society of artillery officers [6] . Derevitsky died in 1938 in Maydanpek .

Family

Peter Alexandrovich and his wife Marionilla Moritsevna, the daughter of merchant Moritz Wolf, had four children: Alexander (1890–1931 [7] ), Catherine (1892–1981), Alexey (1896–?) And Andrew (? —1931 [8] ). Alexander and Andrei emigrated to Yugoslavia after the revolution, Catherine and Alexey remained in Russia.

Alexey Petrovich Derevitsky - participant of the Great Patriotic War , lieutenant colonel , Commander of the Order of the Patriotic War, I degree. In 1943, commanded the 454th mortar regiment of the 6th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade .
