Physico-geographical characteristics
Irtysh is located within the forest-steppe zone of the Ishim Plain , which is part of the West Siberian Plain , on the right bank terrace of the Irtysh River [3] . The height of the center is 72 meters above sea level [1] . Common chernozems are common in the vicinity of the village [4] .
By road, the village is located 93 km from the regional center of Omsk and 36 km from the regional center of the village of Tavricheskoe [5] .
- Climate
The climate is sharply continental , with significant temperature differences throughout the year (according to the classification of Köppen climates - humid continental climate (Dfb) with warm summers and cold and long winters). The long-term rainfall is 367 mm. Most precipitation falls in July - 60 mm, the least in March - 13 mm. The average annual temperature is positive and amounts to +1.4 C, the average January temperature is −17.7 C, July +19.9 C [1] .

History
It was founded in 1905 as the estate of Krasikov, who leased land from the Siberian Cossack army and cultivated grass. Originally called Travopolje . The tenant had a lot of cattle, a large garden, kept stables and warehouses [7] .
In 1922, on the basis of the estate, a seed-growing state farm No. 27 was formed, in 1926 it received the name "Travopolie". Since 1930, the state farm has been growing pig meat. In the 1970s, the state farm "Irtysh" was formed. In the 1990s, it was reorganized into the Agrofirm "Irtyshskaya" LLC [7]
