Geography

It is located 2 km northwest of the central part of Zheleznogorsk on the left bank of the Pogarschyna River. It consists of one street, stretching for 0.5 km from north to south along the Poharschyna. Along the street are houses of individual development. In the north, it is limited by a highway from Zheleznogorsk to Studenok , in the east, summer cottages of the Michurinets association adjoin the village, and to the south and west of Platonovsky is the floodplain of the Pogarschina River. Also south of the village is the microdistrict of Zheleznogorsk Alekseevsky (former village).

Etymology

It was named after the names of the first inhabitants - the Platonovs - immigrants from the neighboring village of Pogarishche .

History

In 1926, there were 8 yards in the village, 43 people lived (21 men and 22 women). At that time, Platonovsky was part of the Trubichensky village council of the Dolbenka volost of the Dmitrov district of the Orel province [1] . In 1928 it became part of the Mikhailovsky (now Zheleznogorsk ) district. In 1937, there were 8 yards in the village [2] . During the Great Patriotic War, from October 1941 to February 1943, he was in the zone of Nazi occupation. From 1954 to 1985, he was a member of the Troyanovsky village council of the Zheleznogorsk district [3] , then transferred to the newly formed Studenoksky village council [4] . In 1992 he was included in the Zheleznogorsk City Council [5] . In 2008, it was included directly in the city of Zheleznogorsk. In 2015, the former village of Platonovsky was given the status of a microdistrict of the city [6] .
