Crater Description
The immediate neighbors of the crater are Watson Crater in the west; Lippman Crater in the north-north-west; Hausen Crater in the east-southeast and Derfel Crater in the south [2] . Selenographic coordinates of the center of the crater , diameter 93.5 km [3] , depth 2.8 km [1] .
Petsval Crater has a polygonal shape with a small depression in the northern part and a protrusion in the eastern part, moderately destroyed. The shaft is flattened, the inner slope of the shaft is of uneven width, with smoothed remains of a terrace-like structure in the eastern and southern parts, in the northern part it is marked by a small crater. The bottom of the bowl is crossed, in the southwestern part of the bowl there is a large crater. The rounded central peak is somewhat offset north of the center of the bowl.
