Montes, Osvaldo

In the 1970s, he moved to France and settled in Paris, where he becomes a member of the Kalchakis group, which includes touring Europe and Canada with the famous singer Mercedes Sosa.

In the 1980s, he moved to Canada in Montreal , where he began his career as a composer of music for film and television. During this period he implements a huge amount of work for Canadian television projects, among which such as:

“Legends indiennes du Canada”, “Le Defi Mondial”, “Ingenierie cent ans”, “Points chauds” and “Services Secrets”.

In the 1990s, he writes music for such famous projects as “El lado oscuro del corazón”, “Cenizas del paraíso”, “Tango feroz”, “Pequeños milagros” and “Le Ciel sur la tete”. As well as music for the television series "De poeta y de Loco" and "Nueve lunas" for which he received the Martin Fierro de la APTRA de Argentina Award (Martina Ferro APTRA in Argentina).

At the same time, he creates the musical performance CINEMATANGO, which represents New York at MOMA, and at the Films du monde festival in Montreal and in 2014 at the Festival cultural de Hue Vietnam.

He created music for such films as “Plata quemada” (2000), “Bolívar soy yo” (2001), “Ay Juancito” (2004), “Un lugar lejano” (2007), “Rehén de Ilusiones” (2010), “ Paisajes devorados ”(2011), Omisión (2013). Para televisión compone la música de Pura sangre (2006), Mi gitana (2012) y Alias ​​el mexicano (2013-2014).

In 2007 she won the Best Music Award at the Trimester Film Festival, Italy for the music for the film Suspiros del Corazón (Breath of the Heart) by Enrique Gabriel.

Currently lives and works in Madrid, from where he continues to write music for various films and series for film companies around the world.

Recent works include music for the television series LADY la vendedora de Rosas for Teleset and Sony Pictures. And some feature films such as ¨ BAIRES ¨ Marcelo Paes Kubelsa.
