Biography
Mikhail Alexandrovich Burinsky was born in 1910 in Kiev . In 1929 he graduated from the factory apprenticeship school , after which he worked as a mechanic at the Kiev steam engine repair plant. In 1934 he graduated from the G.V. Plekhanov Institute of National Economy , in 1938 - graduate school under him, at the same time as a graduate student, he taught at the institute, was deputy dean of the Faculty of Trade and Economics [1] .
In April 1938, Burinsky entered the service of the NKVD of the USSR, served in various departments of the central apparatus. In 1939 - 1941 he worked as deputy head of the Special Bureau at the People's Commissar of Internal Affairs of the USSR. During the existence of the first People’s Commissariat of State Security of the USSR, he headed the 7th department of the 1st (intelligence) Office of the People’s Commissariat, dealing with issues of Soviet colonies abroad, issuing visas, collecting information, and keeping operational records. During the Great Patriotic War he was an operational worker in various units of the NKVD-NKGB and the NKGB of the USSR [1] .
In May 1945, Burinsky took the post of Deputy Director General of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration . Returning to the USSR in October 1947, worked for a year in the Information Committee under the Council of Ministers of the USSR . In 1948 - 1951 he worked as an expert consultant in the economic department of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs . In 1949 he graduated in absentia from the Higher Diplomatic School . In 1951 - 1954 he worked at the United Nations , was the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Europe . In February 1954 he returned to the USSR. He worked in the First Main Directorate of the State Security Committee under the Council of Ministers of the USSR . In November 1964, he retired with the rank of colonel. He worked in the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the USSR . In January 1976 he retired. He lived in Moscow . He died in May 1984 [1] .
Honored Worker of the NKVD of the USSR . He was also awarded the Order of the Red Star and a number of medals [1] .
