It comes from Nazareth Iretsky , who was killed during the capture of Kazan by Ivan the Terrible ( 1552 ).
Egor (Georgy) Nikiforovich Iretsky (also Iretskaya, Iritsky, Iritskaya) (? -1767) - Chief Quartermaster (corresponds to the foreman in the army) from 09/22/1764; Major General of the Fleet from 02/08/1766 [1] . His descendants:
- grandson Vasily Fedorovich (1804-1886) - admiral and commandant in Kronstadt ;
- great-grandson Alexander Alexandrovich (1848—?) - Admiral (since 1913).
The Iretsky family is included in the VI part of the genealogy book of the Tver province [2] .
Emblem Description
The shield, divided horizontally in two, has a large apex, in it in a golden field a bird flying to the right is depicted, and in a blue field a silver saber is horizontally laid, with its tip to the lower right corner. In the lower small half, in the red field, a silver river is visible and above it an arrow flying to the left.
On the shield a noble crowned helmet. Crest: three ostrich feathers. The mark on the shield is blue, lined with silver. The coat of arms of the Iretsky clan is included in Part 7 of the General Herbarium of the noble clans of the All-Russian Empire, p. 115.
