History
According to the legend existing in Ilyushkino and Shalkino , Ilyushka Nushtaev is considered to be the founder according to the legend the founder p. Shalkino. The official date of foundation of both villages is considered to be 1553, which is also reported to us at the stands at the entrances to the villages. This information appeared in 1898. At the opening of the church in the village, local authorities requested the Penza Spiritual Department about the age of the village. An answer was given from Penza that the village of Ilyushkino is 345 years old. Based apparently on the tradition that the villages were founded at the same time, local authorities adopted the same foundation date for Shalkino.
