Filzer, Felix Mikhailovich

Felix Mikhailovich Filzer (born 1931) - Soviet chess player , master of sports of the USSR (1958) and international master of the ICChF (1968).

He studied at the Moscow Machine Tool Institute (1949-1953), at the mechanics department of Moscow State University (1965-1970) [1] .

Member of the Moscow Chess Championship (1959). Member of several personal and team championships of the USSR by correspondence:

  • personal: 12th (1975-1977), 14th (1979-1980).
  • command: 5th (1975-1978)

He participated in the 10th (1972-1976) and 17th (1977-1983) European Pennant Championships. After emigrating to Israel (1990), he took up journalism.
