The 7th Slovene People’s Liberation Shock Brigade named after Franz Preshern division of the People’s Liberation Army of Yugoslavia . It was named in honor of the poet Franz Preshern . Formed on August 6, 1943 on Shipka according to the order of July 14, 1943 , received the name since September 1943.

Structure
The brigade consisted of headquarters, three battalions, an engineering platoon and a platoon of signalmen.

On November 15, 1943 , the brigade consisted of 34 pistols, 255 rifles, 17 submachine guns, 30 light machine guns and automatic rifles, and 7 light mortars.
