Reviews

“Sergey was given the talent of an artist. He is a realist, he has a wonderful color. But he had little time to work freely. The union took a lot of power. With all this, he created a lot of work. His portraiture draws attention, many of them have become classic examples. As a person he was warm, attentive, restrained, it was always interesting to travel with him. He tried to write as much as possible about Abkhazia, he devoted a lot of paintings to mahajirs, he has beautiful landscapes. He did not focus, but wrote from nature and in his own way sang what he saw. ”

- Huta Avidzba [3]

“I admire Sergey’s paintings with large multi-figure compositions; it’s not so easy to write them. He perfectly knew the secret of the composition. His works are not tortured, not squeezed, they are written with love. I will mention one more distinctive detail. I have watched him write more than once. At the end of the work, he took pure black paint and used for contours and stains. He put the final touch, as it were, bringing revitalization and completeness to his artistic design. ”
