History

The village of Ozheva , consisting of 40 peasant households , is indicated on the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1834 [2] .

OZHEVO - the village belongs to Her Majesty, the number of inhabitants according to the revision: 129 m. P., 148 g. p. [3] (1838)

As the village of Ozheva from 41 courtyards, it is marked on the map of Professor S. S. Kutorgi in 1852 [4] .

OZHEVO - the village of Gdovsky of Her Majesty's estate, on a country road, the number of yards - 42, the number of souls - 147 m. [5] (1856)


OZHEVO - a specific village at a well, the number of yards - 46, the number of inhabitants: 145 m., 167 g. p. [6] (1862)

According to the map from the “Historical Atlas of the St. Petersburg Province” of 1863, the village was called Ozheva [7] .

The compilation of the Central Statistical Committee described it like this:

OZHEVA - the former owner's village, courtyards - 51, residents - 345; 2 chapels, 3 tanneries. (1885) [8]

In the XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Osminsky volost of the 2nd zemsky district of the 1st camp of the Gdovsky district of the St. Petersburg province.

According to the "Memorial Book of the St. Petersburg Province" for 1905, the village of Ozhevo formed the Ozhevsky rural community [9] .

From 1917 to 1919, the village of Ozhevo was part of the Osminsky volost of the Gdovsky district.

Since 1920, as part of the Ozhevsky village council of the Osminsky volost of Kingisepp county .

Since 1927, as part of the Osminsky district .

Since 1928, as part of the Relkovsky village council. In 1928, the population of the village of Ozhevo was 344 people [10] .

According to 1933, the village of Ozhevo was part of the Relkovsky village council of the Osminsky district [11] .

Since 1935, as part of the Zalustezhsky Village Council.

From August 1, 1941 to January 31, 1944, the village was under occupation.

Since 1961, as part of the Relsk village council of the Slantsy district .

Since 1963, as part of the Luga district.

In 1965, the population of the village of Ozhevo was 23 people [10] .

According to the data of 1966, 1973 and 1990, the village of Ozhevo was also part of the Relsky village council of the Luga district [12] [13] [14] .

According to 1997 data, 12 people lived in the village of Ozhevo, Relskoy volost, in 2002 - 11 people (Russians - 73%) [15] [16] .

In 2007, 4 people lived in the village of Ozhevo of the Osminsky joint venture [17] .

Geography

The village is located in the northwestern part of the region near the highway 41K-027 ( Staropolie - Osmino ).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 10 km [17] .

The distance to the nearest railway station is Moloskovitsy - 80 km [12] .

Near the village flow the river Mokrush and Godnov stream.
