Quint Survey

Quintus Servaeus ( Latin Quintus Servaeus ) - Roman politician of the first half of the 1st century.

Nothing is known about the origin of Servey. He was close to Germanicus and accompanied the latter while traveling to the east of the empire. In 18 year, he became the first Roman ruler of Commagena and held this position in the rank of praetor [1] . In 20, Servay, along with Publius Vitellius and Quintus Veranius, accused the former governor of Syria, Gnei Calpunius Pison, in the decomposition of troops and the poisoning of Germanicus [2] . After a short period of time, the emperor Tiberius proposed that the senate bestow priestly titles on Serveus, Vitellius and Verani [3] . In 32, Servey was convicted as one of the main participants in the Seyan conspiracy, although he was only friends with the once powerful prefect of the Praetorium. However, he saved himself by reaching out to several other people [4] . Perhaps his descendant was the consul-suffice of 82 years, Servay Innocent .
