Design
Pylon-type deep-laying station . It has three underground halls - the middle and two halls with landing platforms. The halls of the station are interconnected by a number of aisles-portals that alternate with pylons . The design of the station is a series of new solutions, first used in the Kiev metro - thin pylons of complex shape and all openings to the platforms, which is especially important, given the passenger flows during sporting events.
The pylons and track walls are faced with gray marble and highlighted with small chrome sconces , and the ceiling is bright white. The central axis of the hall is emphasized by a series of round chromed lamps with thin stretch marks. At the end of the hall there is a composition in the form of the Olympic flame , composed of red and blue smalt of different shades.
Immediately after the opening of the station, the lamps were equipped with milky-white glass shades of cylindrical shape, and there were no Olympic rings on the composition at the end of the hall [5] .
The middle hall is connected via an escalator tunnel with a three-band single-march escalator to the underground lobby, which goes into the underground passage under Bolshaya Vasilkovskaya Street. There is no ground lobby.
