Gary Ravkan ( born Gary Ruvkun ; born March 26, 1952 , Berkeley , California) is an American scientist. The works are mainly devoted to molecular biology and genetics. Member of the National Academy of Sciences (2008) and the Medical Academy (2009 [1] ) of the United States, as well as the American Philosophical Society (2019). Winner of many prestigious awards.

In 1973 he received a bachelor's degree at the University of California at Berkeley [2] , in 1982 he received a Ph.D. at Harvard University. Gained fame as a researcher of MicroRNAs . Conducted many studies with Victor Embros . Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2009).
