The white goat ( Latin: Caprimulgus aegyptius ) is a species of bird of the genus Goat . It looks like an ordinary one , it differs only in a light golden-red color of plumage. Basic food: nocturnal butterflies and beetles, but also catches other insects active at night. It inhabits North Africa, Western and Central Asia. Length 25 cm, wingspan 55 cm.

In Kazakhstan, this bird is found only in the Kyzylkum desert and on the plain of the right bank of the Syr Darya River. It prefers sandy deserts and is rarely found in clayey, more often near river floodplains.
The lifestyle is poorly understood. The flight is light, quiet, maneuverable. Arrives in Kazakhstan in late April - early May, flies in August-September.
