Vladimir Alekseevich Dobrynin (1895 - 1978) - Soviet designer of aircraft engines. Laureate of the Stalin Prize of the first degree.

Biography
Born on May 15 ( May 27 ), 1895 in Moscow. In 1915-1918 he served in the army. He graduated from Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman (1926).
- 1926-1930 - designer of US
- 1931-1934 - head of the design department of TsIAM
- 1934-1935 - chief designer of the Moscow Aircraft Engine Plant named after M.V. Frunze.
- 1934-1939 - chief designer of design bureaus,
- 1939-1941 - Deputy Head of KB-2 MAI named after S. Ordzhonikidze , Moscow.
- 1941 - chief designer of the Voronezh plant.
- 1941 - 1960 - chief (since 1956 general) designer of the Rybinsk Design Bureau of Motor Engineering (FCM).
He provided training for engines for non-stop flights of the crews of V.P. Chkalov and M.M. Gromov (1930s).
In the 1940-1950s, he created several models of piston and turbojet engines for the aircraft of A. N. Tupolev and V. M. Myasishchev, including the VD4K combined engine (1951) - at that time the most powerful and economical piston engine.
Doctor of Technical Sciences (1960).
He died on October 20, 1978 in Moscow.
