Ewald ( German: Ewald ) - a noble family.
The first comes from the Austrian subject of the Catholic confession of the merchant Karl Ewald and his wife Josephine .
The second comes from the city of Eisenach in Thuringia . Friedrich (Fedor) Ewald (1785-1840) - a Saxon citizen, the quartermaster, according to family tradition, arrived in St. Petersburg with the Duke Maximilian Leuchtenberg . His sons:

The third is the offspring of a Saxon official, Friedrich Ewald , who left for Russia at the beginning. 1820s His three sons are teachers of the imperial family:
- Fedor Fedorovich (1813-1879) - Russian teacher;
- Vladimir Fedorovich (1823-1891) - Russian teacher, honorary free-lance member of the Imperial Academy of Arts [2] ;
- Evald, Victor Vladimirovich (1860-1935) - Russian composer and scientist.
- Eduard Fedorovich (1833–1892) - Russian teacher [3] .

Emblem Description
