Biography

He began to engage in wrestling in 1928, and already in 1931 became the champion of Italy.

At the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, he fought in the weight category up to 72 kilograms (welterweight). According to the tournament regulations, the wrestler received penalties in fights. The athlete who scored 5 penalty points dropped out of the tournament. In the welterweight, 8 wrestlers fought.

Gallegati won only one meeting out of three, which was enough for the bronze medal, because the rest of the competitors had dropped out earlier.
