Permlesprom

Permlesprom (Permles) is an all-union forestry association, a large industrial association ( concern ), whose enterprises worked in nine large regions of the Soviet Union. Permlesprom was directly subordinate to the USSR Ministry of Forestry, Woodworking, and Pulp and Paper Industry . The central office was located in Perm . The Permlesprom building, built for the concern in the 1950s, is an architectural monument of local importance. [one]

In total, about one hundred thousand people worked at the enterprises of the concern; however, taking into account family members, about eight hundred thousand people depended on the work of the forest industries of Prikamye. [2]

The Permlesprom association at different times had in its subordination (structural divisions):

  • about 45 timber industry enterprises (LPH) and rafting raids;
  • educational institutions of forestry profile;
  • design and technological bureau;
  • house-building plants in Perm, in Dobryanka , in Chusovoy ;
  • The Perm Production Woodworking Association Permdrev [3] (1987-1989), the structure of the association included:
    • Perm Forestry Plant "Red October";
    • Perm House-Building Plant;
    • Dobryansky house-building plant;
    • Lyaminsky house-building plant;
    • Yayvinsky house-building plant;
    • Perm Sawmill;
    • Novoilinsky timber transshipment plant.
  • Chusovles Production Logging Association;
  • two construction trusts: Permlesstroy and Komipermlesstroy (dozens of residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, Lespromkhoz clinics and other social facilities were introduced annually in forest towns and cities; roads were built everywhere);
  • Permlesurs Specialized Office of Work Supply;
  • Kama state timber alloy trust "Kamelesosplav";
  • Permremlestekhnika experimental mechanical plant (later - Perm Experimental Mechanical Plant Open Joint-Stock Company);
  • branch river fleet of 800 vessels;
  • dozens of auxiliary and processing enterprises along the river. Kama and p. Volga.
