Atlantic Ocean : Caribbean Sea (coast of Cuba, Mexico, USA) [1] [3] .

Description

Small cephalopods, length up to 45 mm [1] . Tentacles with extended bent mace. They are distinguished by narrow suckers on the mace (10-12 rows) and rounded on the hands. Both dorsal arms are hectocotylisated. Gladius developed. The luminous organs on the ink bag and the papilloid glands on the sides of the rectum are absent. The head and the front edge of the mantle do not grow together on the dorsal side [4] [5] . Included in the list of the IUCN International Red Book in the status of DD (Data Deficient) [6] [7] .
