Hero began his film career in Hungary in 1932, from 1935 he began working in English-language cinema in Britain , and in 1941 he moved to the United States, where he starred in Hollywood until the mid-1960s [2] .

Stephen Gerey (name at birth - Istvan Gergyi) was born on November 10, 1904 in the Austro-Hungarian city of Ungvar (now Uzhgorod , Ukraine ) and was educated at the University of Budapest [3] .

In 1934, Istvan Gergoy moved to Britain , where he changed his name first to Stefan, and then to Stephen Herrey.
