Lali (alternative names are Lari , Laari ) is an ethnic group in the Republic of the Congo ; in statistics, it is taken into account as part of the Congo nationality [1] , which makes up 48% of the population of the Republic of Congo.
The number of native speakers - Laari - is 138 thousand [2] . It is considered the language of urban culture.
90% of Lali (GEL) live in the southern part of the capital city of Brazzaville. They also live in the departments of Pointe Noire and Poole (where they make up the majority). A small group of 4200 Lari native speakers live in Uganda .

Religion
99% of the Lali (Lari) profess Christianity, about a quarter of them are Lutherans, 37% are Catholics, the rest belong to various Christian movements [2] .
Famous Representatives
The representative of this ethnic group in Congolese politics was Prime Minister Bernard Bakana Colelas (1933-2009).
