History

The old emblem of FC "Balkans".

Zaryansk team was founded in 2007. She began her football career with the championship of the Saratsky region and repeatedly became his champion. In 2013, the team for the first time in its history won the championship of the Odessa region , and in 2014 made its debut in the championships of Ukraine among amateurs.

To become the country's champion, it took Zaryans two years: already in 2015, they managed to climb the podium, becoming the fourth club in the history of the Odessa region (after the Dniester , Ivan and Bastion ), which reached this peak.

In the fall of 2015, the Balkans set another achievement for clubs in the Odessa region, making it to the finals of the Amateur Cup of Ukraine, where they lost to Pitmen from Sosnovka in the sum of two meetings. And in July 2016, the Zaryan club was the first to win the Ukrainian championship among fans twice in a row [1] . It is symbolic that this national record was set two weeks after the historical event for Zaryan football: on June 24, 2016, FC Balkans officially took part in the PFL of Ukraine . The club president Radoslav Zlatov received the corresponding certificate from the hands of the PFL president Sergei Makarov at the 25th PFL Conference held in the capital's Football House [2] .

As an amateur club, in the 2015/16 season , the Balkans took part in the Ukrainian Cup for the first time in their history. Having beaten in the preliminary round the club of the second league “Skala” Stryi , in the 1/16 finals the “Zaryants” minimally lost to the finalist of the Europa League 2014/15 season - Dnepropetrovsk “ Dnipro ” [3] .

On September 15, 2016, the club was awarded by UEFA in the “Best Club” nomination as part of the Football Day, which is annually held by the European Union of Football Associations. Zaryants received a bronze medal thanks to, as noted by UEFA, “substantial progress, based in one of the most remote corners of Ukraine” [4] .
