Son of Bero II , Dauphin of Auvergne, and Countess Margarita de Sancerre .
He helped the Duke of Bourbon to expel the brutal brigands from his lands.
In 1423, he permitted King Charles VII to place royal garrisons in Sagon , Sancerre and Wail .
On July 13, 1425 he was appointed governor of Dauphine .
Killed July 28, 1426 at the Royal Council in front of Charles VII. The reasons for the murder are not known.
Presumably, it is mentioned in a ballad about the seigneurs of the past, Francois Villon under the name of Count Dauphin of Auvergne.
