Strashnovsky is an abolished village that existed in the 20th century on the territory of the Dmitrovsky district of the Oryol region . He was a member of the Gorbunovsky village council .

Geographical position
It was located 4.7 km south of Dmitrovsk , not far from the source of the Strashnovsky stream, a tributary of the Public . The nearest, now existing settlement - the village of Vertyakino , is located 3 km northwest of the place where the village was located.
History
In 1926, there were 15 yards in the village, 102 people lived (49 males and 53 females). At that time, Strashnovsky was part of the Gorbunovsky village council of the Lubyanka volost of Dmitrovsky district [1] . In 1937, there were 26 courtyards in the village [2] . During the Great Patriotic War, in October 1941, Strashnovsky was in the zone of occupation. Released by the Red Army in August 1943 [3] . Soviet soldiers who fell in battle for the village after the war were reburied in a mass grave in the village of Gorbunovka [4] . In 1965, it was still listed in the directory of administrative-territorial division of the Oryol region [5] . Abolished on May 18, 1978.
