The Kurshab district is a unit of administrative division of the Kyrgyz SSR that existed in February 1935 - November 1959.

The Kurshab district was formed as part of the Kyrgyz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic on February 8, 1935. The center of the district was assigned the village of Leninsky . On December 5, 1936, the Kyrgyz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic was transformed into the Kyrgyz SSR . On March 11, 1938, the Kurshab district was assigned to the Osh district , and on November 21, 1939 - to the Osh region .
According to the 1939 census, 29,656 people lived in the Kurshab district. Including 80.0% - Kyrgyz , 6.3% - Uzbeks , 6.0% - Ukrainians , 6.0% - Russians [1] .
In 1949, the district had an area of 1.0 thousand km² and included 11 village councils:
- Dzhan-Shurinsky (center - K. Taty-Bulak)
- Irdyksky (center - K. Kysysyk-Alma)
- Kara-Tash (center - K. Unkur)
- Karaulsky (center - K. Shirali)
- Kochkor-Ata (center - K. Sangir)
- Kara-Kiinsky (center - K. Iri-Jar)
- Kurshabsky (center - K. Tajik-Kishlak)
- Kyzyl-Sui (center - K. Erken-Too)
- Kyzyl-October (center - K. Kyzyl-October)
- Leninsky (center - v. Leninsky)
- Yalpak-Tash (center - K. Ak-Terek)
On November 26, 1959, the Kurshab district was abolished, and its entire territory was transferred to the Uzgen district [2] .
