History

Design

2nd Peterhof Bridge

The bridge is single-span, reinforced concrete, frame-cantilever system (three-hinged frame) with a curved outline of the lower belt [2] . The frame crossbar is made of prefabricated prefabricated reinforced concrete elements, monolithic with the frame “legs”. Console beams close in the middle of the span through an imperfect hinge. The reinforced concrete slab of the roadway is included in the operation of the main beams. The abutments of the bridge are massive, made of monolithic reinforced concrete, on a natural foundation, lined with granite. The facades are lined with metal sheet. Low abutment walls adjoin the abutments. The total length of the bridge is 36 m, the width of the bridge is 22 m [2] .

The bridge is designed for traffic and pedestrians. The carriageway of the bridge includes 2 lanes for the movement of vehicles. The covering of the roadway and sidewalks is asphalt concrete. The sidewalks on the bridge are arranged at an elevated level, there are no sidewalk fences from the roadway. Railings - cast-iron cast grates with metal inserts, completed on the foundations with a granite parapet. Granite stair descents are arranged on the upper side of the bridge.
