Biography
Yakov Chistov was born in Moscow. His father was the engine driver of the train depot of the Moscow-Kursk Railway . After graduating from the city school, Yakov Chistov entered the mechanical and mechanical department of the craft school. During his studies, he began to engage in revolutionary activities. In 1902, he became a locksmith in the locomotive depot of the Moscow-Kursk Railway. In the same year he organized a social democratic workers' circle at the depot [1] . In 1904 he became a member of the RSDLP . He took an active part in the December armed uprising of 1905 [2] . In the summer of 1907, an underground printing house of the Moscow District Committee of the RSDLP was organized in Chistov’s apartment ( School Street , 34a). In November, this printing house was defeated by the police. Chistov was imprisoned [3] . In 1910, he returned to party work. In 1912 he was sent into exile. In 1917 he became the secretary of the cell of the RSDLP (b) depot of the Lyublino station. He took part in the October armed uprising . At the beginning of 1918 he was sent to Siberia, where he was engaged in the procurement of bread. He died in 1919 in battles on the Eastern Front of the Civil War [2] .
Memory
On December 23, 1975, Chistov Street was named in his honor in the Moscow district of Tekstilshchiki (the former 3rd street of the village of Tekstilshchiki ) [4] .
