History
The magazine grew out of the "Orthodox Youth Newspaper", the first issue of which was published in December 1999 [3] .
On December 15, 2004, at the annual meeting of the Diocesan Assembly of the City of Moscow, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II praised several youth-oriented periodicals, including the Orthodox Youth Newspaper [4] .
In 2005, it was decided it was decided to expand the publication, transforming the "Orthodox Youth Newspaper" into a magazine with a new name - "Heir". On August 2, 2005, the magazine was registered with the Office of the Federal Service for Supervision of Compliance with the Law in the Field of Mass Communications [5] (registration number FS77-21508) [6] . The first issue of the magazine explained why such a name was chosen.
"Heir". This is the word we chose after a six-month search for the name. There were many options (“Christina”, “Bore”, “Measure of age”, “Essentially”). With one of them ("Co-Being") we even lived for almost a whole month.
The name, as expected, was very close. On the cover layout options, we placed the main question of our magazine - “What does it mean to be Orthodox?” And so, after the all-night feast of the Entry into the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, when hope was finally mixed with despair and out of this mixture, watered with prayer, anger was born on one’s own spiritual and creative powerlessness, our question was melted into questioning the gospel youth to Christ: “What should I do to inherit eternal life?” And everything immediately fell into place. Indeed, all of us have really been looking for the answer to this question all our lives — those who only first understood that this question does not give him rest, and those who, perhaps, did not understand this yet; And those who are already asking: “What else am I missing?” And in this aspiration to inherit eternal life - the meaning, and the main theme, and the name of our magazine [7] .
Most of the youth media staff were originally Orthodox high school students who worked on the project under the leadership of the chief editor of the priest, Maxim Pervozvansky . The Heir magazine was presented in many churches and monasteries in Russia and the CIS countries [8] .
Since December 2007, the Minsk Theological School became the official representative of the magazines: “Heir” and “ Grapes ”. These magazines began to be distributed through the Minsk Theological College [5] .
In March 2009, a new site naslednick.ru was opened [9]
In 2009, starting from No. 26 (“Test”), subscription began to be carried out only through the United Catalog of the Russian Press “Subscription 2010”, because for “presence” in the catalog, a certain amount must be entered, and the editorial office was unable to “pull” several directories [1] .
Certificate of Assignment of the neck “Approved by the Synodal Information Department of the Russian Orthodox Church” No. 043 dated January 20, 2011 [3] .
In 2015, the editorial board of the "Heir" magazine launched a new project - the youth online portal "naslednick.online".
