Biography
He graduated from the School of Mechanization with a degree in excavator engineer (1957).
In 1963-1983 he worked in the Northern Mining Administration of the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine.
In 1970 he put forward a rationalization proposal for the use of an excavator bucket with a volume of 10 cubic meters, which increased labor productivity. He was appointed foreman of the excavators.
The team of Leonid Zabolotko, having developed 3065 cubic meters instead of the planned three thousand, was the first in the advanced fields at the Uchkuduk deposit . In 1977, the team exceeded the annual plan by developing 5 thousand cubic meters.
For outstanding achievements in labor, Leonid Zabolotko was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor in 1977.
Since 1983, he worked as a master of vocational training at vocational schools. In 1993, he retired and moved to Dimitrovgrad, Ulyanovsk Region.
