The 292nd Assault Aviation Division of Krasnograd ( 292nd Shad ) - a combination of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of the Red Army of Assault Aviation, which took part in the hostilities of the Great Patriotic War .

Division Creation

The 292nd assault aviation division was formed by the Order of the NPO of the USSR on July 22, 1942 [2] on the basis of the command of the Air Force of the 52nd Army .

Renaming a Division

 

The 292nd Assault Aviation Division of Krasnograd on February 5, 1944, for exemplary execution of the combat missions of the command on the front of the struggle against the fascist invaders and shown high military skill, valor and courage, was transformed into the Guards Division [1] and was named the 9th Guards Assault Aviation Krasnograd Division [3] .
