With the advent of the first Russian car in 1896, the P.D.Yakovlev factory began to produce automobile bodies, subsequently becoming one of the largest factories in the developing automobile industry in Russia . For the manufacture of bodies, only the best materials were used, taking into account the characteristics of the product, choosing the best fabrics for interiors and the best elastic leather for seats, supplying silver-framed parts, silver-plated door handles and ivory for round door handles. In addition, the bodywork included crystal flower vases, decanters and glasses for drinks [2] .

The factory also undertook the assembly of cars, but subsequently limited it to repair and sale (Austin cars and Arbents trucks). Her most famous works were carried out on the Brazier and Renault chassis.
