Matthias Vilhjaulmsson ( Isl. Matthías Vilhjálmsson ; born January 30, 1987 , Isafjordur , Iceland ) is an Icelandic footballer who is a forward of the Rosenborg club.

The title of this article is an Icelandic personal name . Icelanders, with rare exceptions, have no surnames; the part of the name ending in "-son" or "-author" is not a surname, but a middle name. Career

A pupil of the football school "BI / Bolungarvik". In 2004, he moved to Habnarfjordur , for which he played until 2010, having played more than 100 matches. In 2011, it was leased to the English Colchester United , but in England, William Alsson failed to gain a foothold and six months later returned to Habnarfjordur. The next season was followed by a new lease, this time to the Norwegian Start .

In Norway, Matthias quickly established himself at the base of the new club, and a year later the Start management agreed with Habnarfjordur to transfer Villalmsson. In the summer of 2015, Matthias signs a new contract with Rosenborg ^[1] . His debut for Rosenborg took place on July 30 in the 2015–2016 UEFA Europa League match against Debrecen .
